Write for us
Clear Garden Guide welcomes thoughtful contributions that help readers understand gardens as living, changing places. Send proposals through the Contact page; a concise pitch is more useful than a finished article sent without context.
Subjects we welcome
We are interested in clear explanations of soil, plants, water, garden wildlife and seasonal garden life. Useful comparisons, careful accounts of gardening history and pieces that help readers notice a feature of a garden are welcome. A proposal should have a distinct subject and a clear reason for being useful to a general reader.
What makes a good pitch
Tell us the proposed angle, the main points you would cover and what a reader should understand by the end. Explain any important limits, such as a particular climate or garden type, and identify sources or experience relevant to the subject. Keep claims proportionate; avoid sweeping promises, sales copy and advice that depends on unmentioned local conditions.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to share your proposal. Include a short outline and any relevant writing samples or supporting references in your message. Do not send confidential material or assume that a pitch has been accepted until a response confirms it.
A garden is a conversation with its ground
The best garden choices begin with looking closely: at the soil, the light, the weather and the life already there.
