Editorial care
Clear Garden Guide aims to make garden subjects understandable, accurate and useful without pretending every place grows alike. We distinguish general explanation from advice that depends on local conditions, and we make the nature of commercial relationships plain.
Accuracy and care
We check factual statements against suitable sources and review explanations for clarity and context. Garden conditions vary with climate, soil, aspect and other local factors; our wording should not make a general principle sound universal. When a subject needs local or specialist knowledge, we say so rather than presenting a guess as certainty.
Independence and disclosure
Editorial decisions are kept distinct from commercial arrangements. We do not promise favourable coverage in return for a payment, product or partnership. Material created as part of a paid or otherwise arranged collaboration is clearly labelled so readers can recognise its relationship to a partner.
Corrections and illustrations
If a factual error is identified, we review it and correct the relevant text where warranted; substantial changes are made clear to readers. Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are not evidence of a real garden or a documented gardening result.
A garden is a conversation with its ground
The best garden choices begin with looking closely: at the soil, the light, the weather and the life already there.
